| Powerful sections; Powerful research |
|
More than two million* Victorians read the Herald Sun News pages every week. That's powerful; and our sections are personal.
As the first to market with sections research nationally, News Limited is leading the way for newspaper publishers in Australia.
Director of sales Tony Kendall said: "News Limited is committed to providing market insights for you, our customers, that will help you grow your business."
Results reveal Victorians spend an average of 44 minutes reading the Herald Sun during the week and an hour on weekends. Between 84 and 87 per cent read half or more of the content on any given day reconfirming the relevance of detailed editorial in the printed form.
The first survey included News, Sport, Business, Your Money, Confidential, Body+Soul, Escape, tvguide and Snaparazzi social pages.
High readership and engagement levels demonstrate the connection readers have with the Herald Sun across a range of niche content areas. Whether it's hard-hitting Business information, a leisurely travel read with Escape or a daily dose of celebrity gossip in Confidential, our readers are engrossed in the content and use it to make decisions.

| Record number vote in Footy Fans Survey |
|
Rebecca Twigley has topped the AFL's most glamorous WAGs list for 2010; Ben Cousins is the game's sexiest player.
Delivering the broadest and most definitive insights into AFL in Australia, the survey was conducted last month by the Herald Sun in partnership with 7News. Results were published and broadcast last week.
Now in its 2nd year, the partnership with 7News builds on the 15-year-old Herald Sun Footy Fans Survey which was launched in the newspaper in 1993. This year's Herald Sun / 7News Footy Fans Survey attracted a record 25,500 people who gave their opinions on everything from the AFL's best player, toughest player and sexiest player to the player you most love to hate, the most loved coaches and favourite match callers.
The survey was live on heraldsun.com.au from Monday, June 21, to Sunday, June 27.
There's no denying the Herald Sun offers Australia's best AFL editorial coverage. Over 85 per cent' of male Herald Sun readers or half a million* Victorian males read the Sport section of the Herald Sun every day.
This year's partnership with 7News generated publicity worth close to $1million.^

Housing Victoria's most stylish homes
The $1 million-plus property market is set to feature in the Sunday Herald Sun.
And it's going to be luxurious.
In October this year we will again publish Victoria's Dream Homes; a liftout dedicated to the state's most magnificent homes. This year we visit the home of TV personality Dermott Brereton and step inside the bachelor pad of celebrity snapper Darryn Lyons which some have likened to stepping inside a playboy mansion.
For the very first time we'll also take readers on a personally guided video tour of each Dream Home on www.heraldsun.com.au
Home decorator specialist Gainsville advertised its premium furniture range in the first Victoria's Dream Homes liftout. Gainsville owner Warren Gainsmith said: "Our furniture is stylish and sophisticated so that's the type of environment we seek in which to promote it. The response we received from the liftout surpassed our expectations. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be a part of it."
The next Victoria's Dream Homes liftout will be a minimum 24-page* edition published on Sunday, October 3, 2010.
Booking deadline: Monday, September 3, 2010.
