HeraldSun heraldsun.com.au - the new talkback

Coverage of the Federal Budget and 'Bar mat mum' on heraldsun.com.au are just two recent examples of how the Herald Sun continues to engage with Victorians.

A special Budget forum for heraldsun.com.au users asked key questions to which 434 people posted their opinions. Furthermore, the 'Bar mat mum' story generated more than 1,000 colourful comments and more than 2,300 video views on heraldsun.com.au.

In a recent report, Rupert Murdoch said, "Success depends on the bond of trust between readers and our content, not on how many platforms we use". The recent online results are a fine example of this*. "Our website is the new talkback forum for Victorians and we know many key opinion leaders and decision makers pay particular attention to the comments posted. One of the key strengths of the Herald Sun brand is the strong connection we have with Victorians, and this is further evidenced with the level of interaction on our website. Our readers can interact with us every day in a variety of ways, whether by letter, e-mail, a comment in an online story or a live blog" said Matthew Pinkney, Editor - Herald Sun online.

Jersey Boys JERSEY BOYS Partnership

The Herald Sun is the Victorian print media partner for the Broadway blockbuster musical "JERSEY BOYS". The Australian premiere debuts in Melbourne on July 4th and tells the story of music legends Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons who sold over 175 million records worldwide.

The multi-platformed partnership included an extensive campaign on heraldsun.com.au and a colour liftout in the Sunday Herald Sun on February 22nd (as pictured). "The colour liftout provided our launch into the marketplace with an exciting and informative guide to this brand new Australian production. The power of the Sunday Herald Sun ensured that JERSEY BOYS was exposed to the maximum number of potential patrons in Victoria. It was an impressive launch vehicle and we were thrilled with the results" said Rodney Rigby, Director newtheatricals.
